Obama's quote continues to be accurate. People like Musk cynically tap into the "guns and god" crowd for their own gain.

"They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Not mentioned in article: watch your fingers. Cybertruck's sharp edges around bonnet/hood and doors shown cutting through carrots. It's a crush-and-tear pinch; it's an amazingly sharp and clean cut; it's the type of cut you'd get by using a knife.

Business Insider: Some Cybertruck owners say their Teslas are starting to rust in the rain

Some Tesla owners say their Cybertrucks are starting to rust after being caught in the rain.

In a post on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, a member with the username Raxar wrote that they'd collected their vehicle on February 1 — and were warned that day that rain could cause it to rust.

“The advisor specifically mentioned the Cybertrucks develop orange rust marks in the rain and that required the vehicle to be buffed out," the forum member wrote. "I know I heard the story of never take out your Delorean in the rain but I just never read anything about rust and Cybertrucks."

In another post, Raxar said the car started developing rust spots after just two days in the rain.

The user also shared photos of what they said were small specks of rust on the car's stainless-steel body. The user said the photos were taken after a “dish soap wash.”
...
Vertigo3pc, another Cybertruck Owners Club forum member, wrote on Monday that they took their Cybertruck to a service center to have it checked out after experiencing rain in Los Angeles. “I noticed the corrosion was forming on the metal like other people have noted," they wrote, "so I decided to start documenting it and bringing it to Tesla's attention.”

Stainless steel is not absolutely rustproof, it is only rust-resistant. And what the Chinese sell as stainless steel is another question.

In my opinion, it should be V4A, like for marine equipment. There is also the question of whether there are not numerous sacrificial anodes hidden in the vehicle that young researchers do not necessarily think of first (keyword: electrochemical voltage).

The Land Rover Defender with its aluminium chassis and stainless steel bolts is a famous example.🤣

There are a huge number of grades of SS, no doubt Elon "we don't need flame deflectors" Musk asked for the hardest SS you could get to claim maximum bulletproofness, something like 410 or 420, and ignored the fact that for general outdoors use you'd want something like 316, or, if you don't care about cost, some of the specialised duplex types.

Or a clear coat like every other car manufacturer uses.

People are spending far too much time worrying about this. All those moments will pass in time like tears in the rain.

here's a discussion on Quora though I'd take it with a bit of (road) salt,

Quora: What could be causing the early signs of rust and corrosion on Tesla Cybertrucks?

I don't "worry" about him. I like seeing every stumble he takes because he's no better than other sociopaths and deserves all the grief for being a horrible human being.

Just a little hint, in case you're interested: In German, all nouns are capitalised ;-)

You could argue it's a "borrowed" word, called a "loanword." It must really annoy the French :)

There's also hyperforeignism.

Right, all capitalised! But you can't really distinguish between upper and lower case letters when speaking. ;-)

I'm not. And I'll never bother finding out which German words are nouns 😊
