That is kismet.

Fools hurry,

the clever wait,

the wise enter into the garden-gate.

This also applies to blindly ordering Tesla products and I have no sympathy for the complaining afterwards.

Ugh, video presentations are so slow. A bullet list would save everyone 7 minutes.

Most of the posters in this thread are just like chimpanzees on MDMA, full of feelings of bonhomie, joy, and optimism. Fred99 8/4/21

Everyone has to be a video star these days. Or they are meant for those with Trump-level reading abilities.

YouTube "view transcript" is a lifesaver. In the good case you get a readable block of text. In the bad case they are broken down per phrase or something too tedious to read.

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/02/23/tech/twitter-x-rebrand-cec/index.html

An analyst takes a look at why the Twitter rebrand to "X" isn't catching on and why most people still call it Twitter (something I'm guilty of too).

Another reason why I suspect many media outlets refer to it as "X, formerly Twitter", is that just 'X' by itself looks like a typo, or a placeholder for something else that should be there. Adopting a single letter whose most common use is a wildcard placeholder as your brand is, well, actually, just the sort of thing Musk would do.

Eco-Extremists Claim To Have Started Fire At Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory

An anti-capitalist extreme environmental group set fire to a power line that supplied power to a Gigafactory (as well as 3000 homes in Berlin).

An excerpt from their manifesto:

We sabotaged Tesla today. Because Tesla in Grünau eats up earth, resources, people, labor and spits out 6,000 SUVs, killing machines and monster trucks per week. Our gift for March 8th is to shut down Tesla.
Because the complete destruction of the Gigafactory and with it the sawing off of “technofascists” like Elon Musk are a step on the path to liberation from patriarchy.

So, like... take that, patriarchy!

The article goes on to share more of their manifesto, including that "we started the fire big and high with lots of car tires to weaken the steel structure and cause the mast to become unstable."

So, like... take that, environment! I mean, uh... take that, Elon, you technofascist!

Musk reveals Ketamine use to treat depression in interview with Don Lemon. Says it is prescribed by an actual doctor and is good for Tesla.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elon-musk-don-lemon-interview-x-ketamine-use-tesla/

There is only one form of Ketamine approved by the FDA for non-anaesthetic use at this time. USA doctors are known to have more freedom to prescribe and treat in unusual ways. It could be anything. The article indicates Musk cancelled a previous media deal with Lemon after this interview.

Twitter/X is one step closer to near mythical (in a good sense) payment features with licences soon to be granted in California and New York.

https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2024/03/x-formerly-twitter-a-step-closer-to-payment-features-elon-musk.html

Bank of Musk or Bank of Mars here it comes.

I take high doses of dihydrogen monoxide and hydrogen hydroxide every day, which my doctor prescribed and without which I could no longer do my job. If I stop taking it, I die. Who will do an interview with me now?
