FOX NEWS SAYS IT WILL DECIDE TRUMP’S SYRIA RESPONSE IN NEXT FORTY-EIGHT HOURS

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Fox News Channel announced on Monday that it would decide what Donald J. Trump’s Syria response will be in the next forty-eight hours.

At a press conference at the network’s headquarters, Sean Hannity, Judge Jeanine Pirro, and the “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy said that, as the people who have been entrusted with the decision of whether to use military force, they were not taking their responsibility lightly.

“The U.S. military is the mightiest force in all the world,” Hannity said. “However we decide that President Trump will use that force in Syria, we promise that it will be a decision he will be proud of.”

Pirro said that she and her colleagues were taking “full advantage of the entire Fox News brain trust” to craft Trump’s Syria response. “The American people should sleep well at night knowing that we are keeping Tucker Carlson in the loop,” she said.

Ending the press conference on an urgent note, Doocy spoke directly to President Trump. “Mr. President, we’ll have a decision for you in the next forty-eight hours,” he said. “Don’t change the channel.”

While Trump is busily building his wall he and his Administration should be taking note of some facts in this article that show immigrants both legal and undocumented commit fewer crimes than the 'native born' population.   Whether this also applies to refugees from war torn countries I'm not sure but in general these refugees also commit very few crimes because they are incredibly grateful for a new start.

http://www.politifact.com/california/statements/2017/aug/03/antonio-villaraigosa/mostly-true-undocumented-immigrants-less-likely-co/

One part of the report said:

'Specifically for Mexican men ages 18 to 39, the incarceration rate in 2010 was 2.8 percent, compared to 10.7 percent for native-born men in the same age group, the council’s report said.' (Those men without a high school diploma.)

So I wonder what the situation in NZ is?   I would guess it might be very similar with refugees being involved in crime at a very low rate, and probably a similar picture with the hard working people from the Phillipines.

Needless to say we won't be hearing anything from Susan Devoy along these lines.

CNBC - Paul Ryan's retirement increases the odds that President Trump will be impeached

  • House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., has announced that he will not seek re-election at the end of his current term. (Jan 2019)
  • The announcement could further dispirit Republicans in the House, who already face a serious threat of losing their majority after the 2018 midterm elections.
  • Although they aren't yet pressing the issue, Democratic leaders could not prevent a 2019 impeachment drive even if they considered it counterproductive.

So Russia installs Trump, and now Trump wants to blow up Russia. I think they have a few missiles getting towards the end of shelf life.

I don't think Russia deliberately installed trump.  Their mission was to create division and weaken US influence, NATO, "liberal" criticism of Putin thuggery and Russian hegemony - wanting to restore the good old days of mighty USSR.

Trump's win was just a huge bonus, an idiot betrothed to Putin's pet oligarchs.  No wonder there were cheers in the Kremlin when trump won.

Let's see what trump does.  My guess is that even if he does strike in Syria, there'll be very limited casualties, a few more truly ancient MIGs donated by Russia to Assad obliterated, spectacular video footage, a pretend reaction of outrage via RT (while Putin shrugs), and a "heel spurs" hero claiming great military victory - but nothing will change.
