Terrible rants as usual from Trump, but not much wrong with the spelling & grammar.    I wonder if he is using some app to help him do this?

Yes, a very good app, I'd say. You'll notice it correctly uses only one space following a period.

O.K. thanks for pointing that out. I think it is a bad habit I have got used to.smile

You're welcome. The norm, for years, was one space after a comma and two spaces after a period.

But following the introduction of electronic typesetting, the standard became one space for both commas and periods.

The Guardian’s Middle East correspondent Kareem Shaheen:

The Syrian government will likely portray the attack as showing Syria’s steadfastness against foreign aggression, handing a win to the Assad regime.

Syrian state TV is already calling the attack the ‘tripartite aggression’, drawing a parallel to the Suez canal campaign in 1956 against Egypt, an evocative Arab nationalist moment.

The Syrian government is confirming that one of the attacks hit a scientific research facility in Barzeh near Damascus, which they said destroyed an education center and scientific laboratories but didn’t cause any casualties.

Its description would correspond with what the US says is a chemical weapons research facility.

BBC - Trump lawyer Michael Cohen under criminal investigation

US President Donald Trump's top lawyer is under criminal investigation, the US justice department has announced.

Prosecutors say they are focusing on Michael Cohen's business dealings rather than his work as a lawyer.

Mr Cohen has been under investigation for months, the court filing says.

Government prosecutors also said they believed Mr Cohen had ... only one client - President Trump.

It added that while Mr Cohen was an attorney, "he also has several other business interests and sources of income", and is "being investigated for criminal conduct that largely centers on his personal business dealings".

There is confusion as to whether he can be classed as a proper lawyer or not ......... Trump being his one and only client! But Trump doesn't know about his pay-offs! This is going to get VERY interesting!

Also he has been under investigation for a few months and all of his emails have been intercepted??? If true WOW. This will make the Russia probe miniscule in comparison.

I also see that Trumps new lawyer registered as a Democrat at the last election. He has drained the swamp too much me thinks.

I wonder how the Guardian will report this? And I wonder how the Guardian readers will respond to this?

Assad will see airstrikes as major victory
Analysis from CNN's Frederik Pleitgen
The overnight airstrikes against Syrian targets by the US and its allies will be seen as a major victory for Syrian president Bashar Al Assad -- and his military. The Syrian presidency posted a video on Twitter of Assad casually walking to work in the morning. Syria claims to have shot down many of the missiles that targeted Damascus and the alleged chemical storage facilities near Homs. Meanwhile, Russia appears to be taunting the US, saying the President Trump's "smart" and shiny missiles were taken down by the Syrian military using weapons developed in the USSR in the 1970s. So far, these strikes do not appear to have depleted the conventional capabilities of the Syrian army.

EDIT: Question Guardian readers ..........

Fred99: Trump has been good for creative artists.

Most definitely. Creative artists, cartoonists, satirists, journalists are thriving.

IMHO, this is the Creature's only true worth.

Satirists? They're struggling! Nothing a satirist can come up with these days is dumber than the actual truth.

I'm not sure what the rest of you think about the Syrian business, but here's my take on Pestilent Trump's involvement:

There's absolutely no way that the Creature would get involved in military action in Syria for compassionate reasons.

There's only one person (apart from panderers and pussies) that this Thing is interested in, and that's Itself.

And what better way to stir up support amongst the bottom feeders than a rocketry sideshow?
