The effect of either will have a dramatic effect on NZ and Australia.

Especially if Trump gets elected their will be immediate economic issues the we will have to deal with. I would hope they be short lived, but doubt if Trump is smart enough to act quick enough.

America is still the largest economy and the world will react immediately to whoever gets in.

So, even though neither of them are NZ candidates they will have an large effect on us.

I believe that Bill Clinton was twice the President Obama is, and I foresee his wife being similar in style.

I think Hillary wants a war with Russia, that could bring about a change, or two, worldwide.

Wars are over, they exist in unstable countries not first world countries. Comparing those two countries in the Cold War era is far, far more serious that it would ever get post election, its not even comparable.

I believe CNN will be running the debate at 1 pm. Is anyone going to watch it? For those without Sky, CNN live is not normally available on-line though I have seen a dodgy live stream site in the past that carried it for awhile. Al Jazeera is on Freeview, but I don't know if they would stream the debate. Not sure about BBC news either, though they can be accessed on-line with a geo-unblocker. I don't know what other possibilities there are. Maybe ABC or CBC (Canada) or another country.

Edit: I just saw on the RNZ site that they will also be showing the debate, but they say at 2 pm so I may have got that wrong.

I watched something on Sky last night about just how much power the president has when it comes to the strategic nuclear issues. President doesnt have to consult with anyone before he/she pushes the button and it is his/her absolute decision. The Generals can voice an opinion either way, but the President decides. One would assume that the American people wouldnt vote in an idiot......
