Handsomedan:

I have noticed that a lot of subreddits are now banning links from X.

Until Reddit management overrules sub mods.

They won't override individual rules like that; they only override when mods close subs entirely in protest. Same as how r/ProgrammerHumor has this annoying rule that every single post title must be formatted as a camelCaseFunction.

Gaslighting indeed! I expect we can see a lot more of this over the next 4 years (sigh).

We laugh at them, but there's much more to it than that! Musk is not a real Nazi, but he is supporting and harnessing them (as thugs) to his mission and together with Trump, who is tearing down the laws and rules worldwide for him (and the other tech companies), they will build a technological totalitarianism in America and the world. This is why he is interfering in the affairs of other countries in order to completely destroy the existing (democratic) structures there, which have always been at odds with them and their greed for profit anyway and have prevented them from spreading unrestrainedly (see the millions in fines and laws imposed on them by the EU).

Now 550 billions for Stargate ... I'm telling you, the digital system will one day do what the Gestapo did in fascist totalitarianism from 1933-1945 ... direct access to people ... via the internet into the living room ... use AI to monitor attitudes. BlackRock is in on it and that doesn't bode well. The fact that ARM (Linux), Microsoft (Windows, Office 365) and NVIDIA (h/w) are involved worries me even more! Trump is not very fond of intel due to Hunter Biden‘s laptop, hence ARM.

Trump will actually take Greenland at some point before the Chinese or Russians do and there is no one left in Europe who can significantly stop him. That can be done in two days, especially as there are already active and passive military bases there that can be reactivated. He's serious about it and does it with a bang, whereas the Chinese have been doing it secretly for the last decades and now own the infrastructure of many countries (e.g. Africa).

If you take the (non-existent) morality completely out of the equation, the seemingly crazy thing suddenly makes sense.

We'll see.  All bets are off, I'd suggest.

I left Twitter as soon as he bought it. I want no part of anything Musk owns. I also deleted Facebook and Instagram the day Zuckerberg decreed that hate speech was OK, as long as it was directed at me.

I can only imagine what went on there, as I deliberately never used the usual social media.

So to me that looks more like a somewhat unfortunate landing. The runway lighting was probably faulty and it touched down exactly between 27L and 27R. 😁

Just before the Trump inauguration, Meta hateful conduct policies were changed to say that you could explicitly call LGBTQIA+ people mentally ill, but it's still hateful conduct to say the same about any other group, including religious people, Mark Zuckerberg, MAGA, Amway salespeople, etc.

Musk, naturally, declared the new policy an incredible improvement and a win for free speech.

I have heard (I don't use Twitter) that Musk is quite thin-skinned, and takes any comments made about him very personally, even going as far as getting accounts closed if anyone dares to criticise him - does that sound right?

Yes. The "free speech absolutist" is anything but.

I only get what he does from reputable, public, confirmed, independent sources - never from any postings. My hypothesis (which is all that a ‘prediction’ can be) is based on his previous actions, close observation and his reaction to negative experiences with rules, laws and democracy. It's not random, it's systematic.

Here in Germany, for example, it was quickly made clear to him that he could not simply decree that the Tesla plant would not have a works council, which he did not like at all because of his management style. The complaints and processes at the plant are being monitored very closely. In the USA, he also did not want to accept the coronavirus quarantine measures for Tesla and threatened to lay people off.

So what could be more obvious than to ally with someone (or parties) who also does not accept rules and laws, simply overrides them and bends the truth?

You may have seen stuff projected on Tesla Gigafactory Berlin -

I'm a Tesla owner and bought it before Musk went nuts. Would I buy one right now? No. A car that I dreamed of owning for years and finally took the plunge buying 3 years ago is forever tainted by Musk's actions. I do still love the car some really talented engineers have built, hate Elon and many Tesla owners can relate.

I'm now putting a sticker on my car showing my disapproval of Musk more to stop it from being targeted by other people.

This video however explains things really well and love how it was projected onto the building.

This is a recent report on German public independent (not private financed) television about a graphic designer who is currently being run ragged with 2,000 stickers/week demand. Sorry it's in German, but I think you can get the point. Many companies are cancelling their leasing contracts for Tesla company cars. The ‘funny’ thing, by the way, is that the AfD wants to abolish electric cars according to its election programme.

„In German business and politics, Musk's behaviour is causing many to withdraw from his messaging service. A few months ago, DAX companies such as Mercedes and BASF announced that they no longer wanted to advertise on X. Currently, more than 60 universities have announced that they are leaving the social media platform. The Federal Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of the Environment also want to stop using their accounts.“
