Che Guevara's eldest surviving child Aleida Guevara sends emotional message to Iran, Lebanon and Palestine:

Trump has said Cuba will be next and he will "put [Marco] Rubio over there". That's one way of winning the popularity contest against Rubio and making more chaos i guess.

Trump takes all the headlines giving others a kind of cover, but rot goes deeper in USA.

Lindsey Graham threatens Saudi Arabia if they do not join war on Iran
https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/lindsey-graham-threatens-saudi-arabia-if-they-do-not-join-war-iran

But Trump says its all sorted, perfect, and he does not need anyone's help?

If you want the world to see America in worst light with worst motives, send Lindsey Graham.

‘We’re going to make a tonne of money’: US Senator Graham on US war on Iran
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/9/we-are-going-make-a-tonne-of-money-us-senator-graham-on-us-war-on-iran

Who needs anti American propagandists when Americans do it to themselves so well.

Despite some news implying Pete Hegseth has reacted to this SNL skit, none so far.

Still it's gotta hurt the Secretary of Defense War.

From this video
...
take a look at this memo from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth sent to all senior commanders. He says,

"I direct the Department of War to accelerate America's military AI dominance by becoming an AI first war fighting force across all components from front to back."

This is not an experiment. This is a command. Introduce this right now and quickly. The age of AI and war is here right now.

Stuff now running a "Where are you most worried this war will hit your hip pocket the most?"

I can't even ... innocent people are being killed in Israeli and US airstrikes, not to mention other innocent people being killed by Iran's response, and then there will be thousands more to be killed in the crackdowns and civil wars to come when Trump gets bored / lack of object permanence kicks in and Stuff wants to know whether you're concerned about it affecting the price of cheese.

Yes, that sucks for us and we should be hammering the Luxon government nonstop with I-told-you-sos for going against the tide of history, technology and all the evidence including the ones they got from their own ministries to cut the throat of EV sales and quadruple down on spending taxpayer money on not only Moar Roadz of Nashunul Significanse but also exploration of defunct gas fields and an LNG import terminal but really ... come on.

Hegseth's official ai first press release:

https://www.war.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/4376420/war-department-launches-ai-acceleration-strategy-to-secure-american-military-ai/

Not a joke. The defense dept name has changed.

It was inevitable that the US would unleash full-blown autonomous death robots at some point but for a while there I really thought they'd wait until the Chinese or Russians did it first.

Iran's Navy has been totally wiped out. This is the irrefutable truth that the US Govt have told us - several days ago.

Nek Minit - Live: Video shows US missiles destroying Iranian mine-laying ships near critical oil route Strait of Hormuz

Also - last year? Maybe the year before. We were told that Iran's nuclear capability and all of their facilities were "totally destroyed".
Now the war is based on the idea of destroying their nuclear facilities and capability.
SO...which is it? Totally destroyed, or about to be totally destroyed?

Truth is the first casualty in war.

And truth was never a strong thing with Trump, anyway.

Surely you jest. He started his own social media site called Truth Social, so that only the truth could be spread.

Also, he's not racist. According to Leavitt (I need to find the actual clip) president Trump is not racist: the President likes Blacks, Chinese and normal people.

So that proves it.

Donald J Trump: If Iran has put out any mines in the Hormuz Strait, and we have no reports of them doing so, we want them removed, IMMEDIATELY! If for any reason mines were placed, and they are not removed forthwith, the Military consequences to Iran will be at a level never seen before. If, on the other hand, they remove what may have been placed, it will be a giant step in the right direction! President DONALD J. TRUMP

In other words Trump has no idea if the Hormuz Strait is mined or not.

Trump's telephone frenzy yesterday was surprisingly effective in settling oil markets:

BBC: "After a tumultuous morning during which US shares indices dropped and oil prices surged, the American president began speed-dialling reporters in an apparent effort to soothe nerves. His comments, however, were lacking in clarity even when he was pushed for more detail. "I have a plan for everything, OK?" he told a reporter from the New York Post when asked about spiking oil prices. "I have a plan for everything. You'll be very happy."

Personally I didn't find "not this week" very convincing. That alone implies the situation will last twice as long as it already has. Likewise when he said he originally expected it would take a month.
