Lauren Boebert Wins Crowded Primary in Colorado After Swapping Districts - The New York Times (nytimes.com) (gift link).

There's no end to the deplorables.

If Bobert won...how bad were the rest if she was the "best" option.

<edit: Fixed auto correct from Robert.>

Good job, it's high time someone brought this arrogant loudmouth down a notch or two.

Shouldn't "freedoms" include the "freedom" to be gay? Or a drag queen? Or is it only "freedoms" that Brian Tamaki personally agrees with that are allowed? πŸ™„

Notable at the end of that story: "He made the comments after his grandson-in-law Ford O’Connor pleaded guilty to vandalising the Karangahape Rd rainbow crossing in March."

What terrifies me is that Seymour thinks Tamaki should have access to kids via a charter school.

Seymour and ACT are not just blind to that.
The voices of accountability have also constructed a scheme to make taxpayers pay a tithe to Brian Tamaki.

He may not even have to bother with creative accounting into back pocket, its ok to take profit.
So not just a case of charging large expenses and directors fees, just transfer to you as dividend.

Glorivale, and many others watching attentively too.
We have to acquire a lot of land for our school, build or rennovate a building, my directors fee.
Dear taxpayer here is the bill along with considerable ongoing expenses.

Oh and look at the performance reports, none of our followers dare blow a whistle.
We deserve a bonus for that.

The Washington Post - Supreme Court denies Bannon’s last bid to delay prison for Jan. 6 contempt

28 June 2024

The Supreme Court on Friday turned aside Stephen K. Bannon’s last bid to delay his July 1 deadline to report to prison, leaving the Donald Trump political strategist and right-wing podcaster facing a court order to turn himself in to a low-security federal prison while he appeals his contempt of Congress conviction.

The high court’s rejection came in a one-sentence order: “The application for release pending appeal presented to The Chief Justice and by him referred to the Court is denied.”

Ridiculous how a sovereign citizen clown who is supposed to be against "the system" (government) carries out a home invasion to an elected official's home...and then applies for (and gets) name suppression 😠

Also in slightly good news, former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon won’t be serving time at what’s known as a β€œClub Fed,” the most comfortable type of facility in the federal system, as he had wanted.

It's still a a minimum-security prison camp, but in less comfortable in Danbury, Connecticut also known as "Camp Snoopy"

Yes, it's ridiculous. But these idiots (and extremists in general) do not play by civilised rules. They use the convenient rules, when convenient.

In this case, the government rules do not apply to them until it benefits them.

He also had a nail gun with him to use as a potential weapon.
He had used it on a car, so it was 'locked and loaded'.

It could have gone very bad, and escalating behavior if not corrected, what next.

Hopefully Police and Court did not give him and easy time just because dealing with Sov-Cits is difficult.
Sov-Cits use this as a way to tire the Police and Court of dealing with them.

If only there was a remote island with no endangered wildlife where they can see that when its all Sov-Cits nothing works.

If Bannon's that worried, maybe they should put him in a cell with some of the nastier January 6 thugs. I'm sure he'll be right at home then πŸ™„

And off he goes! Enjoy your cell, a-hole.

This part of this article I found quite interesting:

Though he will not be able to lead them from prison, he said that this “Maga army” that “can’t and won’t stop until final victory” will easily continue on its mission...On election day, 5 November, Bannon said the “Maga army” would be ready to deploy across the country, at polling stations and election counts to ensure the former president’s victory.

These supporters - including poll watchers and lawyers - would challenge ballots they don’t believe should be awarded to Joe Biden, he said.

Mr Teitelbaum, however, doubted that Bannon's own audience was "organised enough to be deployable in the way he describes".

not deployable in the way described but organised enough for Jan 6 style shenanigans and intimidation, strikes me as the intended meaning

I knew this would probably be what happened to Rudy next. His lawyer must be working pro bono for him, surely?
