What Trump forgets is that the military swears allegiance to the constitution, not the president. These are not his personal troops.
Like any other deluded narcissistic racist tinpot dictator, Trump sincerely believes that they ARE his personal troops. 😕

Trump has an interview with Breitbart where he says:
"I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad."
Trump tweets a link to Breitbart, since deleted.
Breitbart readers' comments on the terrorist massacre in New Zealand are pushing the line that this atrocity was the result of allowing multiculturalism, the same theme posted by a right-wing Australian politician yesterday on Twitter, and something not universally rejected but defended by quite a few people following that twitter thread.
Trumpism is linked to the movements that resulted in the Christchurch massacre, as evidenced by the words of one of the perpetrators praising Trump for his stance on racism. It doesn't matter if that was "just part of an incoherent rant". Trump does absolutely nothing to distance himself from violent fascist groups who vote for him. He does not care - so long as they vote for him, he'll protect them by not rejecting their entire movement - yet Trump will condemn entire countries as sh*t-holes, entire ethnic groups as "rapists and murderers".

With some good reason, those people also believe that they're his personal troops.

The White House quickly rejected any link between the shooting and Trump.
"It's outrageous to even make that connection between this deranged individual that committed this evil crime to the president who has repeatedly condemned bigotry, racism and made it very clear that this is a terrorist attack,'' Mercedes Schlapp, the White House's director of strategic communication, told reporters.
kingdragonfly: Trump on white nationalism: Not a rising threat
He should really STFU at this time. But of course he really doesn't care about anything at all except himself, as he's shown time and time again.

The New York Times - ‘The President … Is Not Above the Law’
A New York court rules that the Constitution does not shield President Trump from allegations of misconduct before he took office.
The case has echoes of Paula Jones’s suit against President Clinton.

The legal travails of President Bill Clinton may soon haunt President Trump.
A New York appeals court on Thursday ruled that Mr. Trump, like Mr. Clinton before him, is not protected by the presidency from answering civil charges.
The five-judge panel in Manhattan said that the Constitution’s supremacy clause does not bar state courts from hearing claims over “alleged unofficial misconduct” - that is, claims of improper or illegal action before a president took office. ...

Whew, that means a mafia boss, or any other heinous creature, can't become president to escape his crimes!! That's a relief.
Police says mosque can now reopen, although they'll keep an armed presence around them.
