kingdragonfly: "Elon Musk has never invented anything."
He's frequently been called a man-child and that seems to be what he is, specifically a ten-year-old. The stuff he comes up with himself are what you'd expect a ten-year-old to dream up, Hyperloop, Cybertruck, his various other brain farts. Even his stunts like carrying a sink into the Twitter offices are what we (my friends and I at the time) would have done at age ten thinking we were terribly funny. All the stuff that's been successful has been someone else's, either with him coming in later to take credit or with an adult at the wheel to bat away (most of) his ten-year-old's ideas (flame diverters for launch pads? Just because everything launched since the V2 has them doesn't mean we should use them).
If you want to see an example of Musk in action, read this writeup of how he did a data centre migration. If you wanted to teach a class in everything you can possibly do wrong in doing a migration, this is a good example.
