It really is time that people stopped for a moment and recognize that what is said by the NZ media is twisting the truth. For instance as seen on One News tonight

" 20 people have now DESERTED the Trump Administration"

Hello????? The 20 people they mentioned have been FIRED by the Trump Administration! Now THAT is the real story, not some twisted reality to be repeated on Social Media by a bunch of snowflakes at will and without due consideration to the facts.

Actually, quite a few have left/resigned - it's not all "firings".

As far as TVNZ goes, may I suggest that even if it's "bias", it's not politically significant in terms of affecting US election outcomes (as I'm reminded about my admittedly extremely negative attitude to Trump and Trumpism in that other thread - so why do I bother?).

I'd also dispute that bias (if it exists) is necessarily left or right wing - even if it's apparently anti-authoritarian and pro liberal, whether those "liberals" are left or right - for example I don't imagine honest classical liberals (ie ideologically more inclined to be ACT voters who many would call "right-wing") would be too thrilled with Trump's blatant racism, sexism, trade policies, immigration policies, nepotism, dishonesty etc - even if some are ecstatic about the prospect of Trump winding back protections from corruption from "Wall Street", sabotaging environmental protections etc. - because they believe these systems can "self-regulate". Old-school left-wing "commies" (for lack of a better term), should be similarly ecstatic about Trump's efforts to sabotage "globalism" and get coal mines and smokestacks pumping - "jobs at any cost".

I think the various 'isms are better separated from left/right liberal/conservative ideologies.  They are individual attitudes that exist all over the spectra.

Liberals characterising conservatives as *ist is about as pointless as the right characterising the left as communists.

I'd prefer to see people debate ideas than exchange slurs.
