The whole thing looks like a poorly planned vanity project for Hannah Tamaki.

This article talking about the launch announcement really shows they haven't thought too deep about it

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/112938679/destiny-church-launches-political-party-promising-politics-with-teeth

Hannah Tamaki, who will lead the new party, said she was not going to talk about policies at this stage.

At the launch of a political party surely the one thing you should be talking about is politics, otherwise, what is the point of the entire excercise? Unless it is just another scheme to transfer money out of their followers to themselves.

Best line from the Destiny Church’s launch of the Coalition NZ political party, from party leader Hannah Tamaki:
“Imagine if Colonel Sanders had given up - we would never have tasted his succulent chicken”.

She also said that homosexuality was as much of a sin as wife beating. Because sexual orientation is the same as domestic violence.

And if you're gay and beat your partner that's twice as sinful.

Mmmmmm tasty <slurp>

These people have no shame.

Yes she has sorted our her demographic in those statements

I cringed when she continued to crap on her "friend" standing there beside them all who is apparently gay

I'm sure he'll get his reward when she 'cures' him, that's the kinda crap people like her believe.

Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki has apologised for years of offensive remarks about gay people.

Now he's apologised, how about starting a new political party?? Talk about shallow. I'll recheck now what caused the Earthquakes.
