I Don't think he did, but someone else has snapped up  everything resembling coalitionparty.nz and is apprently planning on doing the same thing

The whole thing looks like a poorly planned vanity project for Hannah Tamaki.

This article talking about the launch announcement really shows they haven't thought too deep about it

At the launch of a political party surely the one thing you should be talking about is politics, otherwise, what is the point of the entire excercise? Unless it is just another scheme to transfer money out of their followers to themselves.

Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki has apologised for years of offensive remarks about gay people.

Now he's apologised, how about starting a new political party?? Talk about shallow. I'll recheck now what caused the Earthquakes.
