We seem to have entered an era of bad hair on some political figures. Is this limited to the Right, or am I just prejudiced? My votes, in order of awfulness, go to:

1. Kim Jong-Un. Do his lackeys wake him each day and tell him how wonderful his hair looks? Does he have a mirror?

2. Boris Johnson. Someone give that man a comb.

3. Donald Trump. Someone give that man a toupee.

4. Paula Bennet. Is she trying to make herself look taller? Or just angrier?

Feel free to add your own.

You're prejudiced.

Some left-wing bad hair examples of the top of my head (see what I did there?):

Helen Clark, Ruth Dyson, Diane Abbott.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I'm  not suggesting it does. The topic is just bad hair.

Kim Jong Un styles his hair so he looks like his deified (in NK political culture) grandfather (in 1950):

Boris has had a haircut, he's a serious Tory politician now:

Snopes fact checked this, and confirm that it's an artist's representation, not actually Trump sans-toupee and de-oranged:

As for Paula Bennett, I'm not going to comment negatively as I don't believe it's fair or reasonable to do so.

The far-right and often just ordinary conservatives disproportionately target opposition female politicians because of gender, appearance etc.

If it's "misandrous" to criticise the appearance of male leaders, then the evidence seems to show it doesn't have much real impact.

I freely admit that I have a thing about judging people for their looks, to me it is just another form of bigotry. I was abused and bullied as a child for having red hair and now as an adult I have been abused for having no hair (hair lost due medical treatment).

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I don't think the way someone looks has a single thing to do with the way they are. I do sometimes wonder about image and self-perception, though. I don't think any of the hair styles I cited above look especially good or flattering and I don't think it is cruel or unfair to point that out, especially when it involves a public figure. Do the people involved actually believe they look good that way, or do they just not care? It is a fair question since hair style is something that can be changed, unlike height or scars or other aspects beyond the control of the individual.

Perhaps you should post a pic of your hair so we can comment on that. Yes you are prejudiced and this post is wrong.

If I ever decide to run for office I will definitely post a picture of my hair.
