I'm having issues with my Voyager Fibremax internet connection in Island Bay, Wellington. Have spoken with the (super helpful) call center and a ticket has been lodged, but just wanted to see if anyone else was affected or just me?
Essentially I cannot even browse the internet. Websites refuse to load (some websites very occasionally load text or frames, but do not load properly). While I appear to have an internet connection, it seems as though it is extremely slow (so slow it does not work). The ONT has both the power and GPON light lit green, and the router displays a WAN light. My PC shows it is connected to the internet, I can perform pings, nslookups and tracerts, but all feel as though they are performing extremely sluggishly. It appears as though the connection is so slow/congested/subject to packet loss it does not work.
Packet loss (using ping -n 100) is over 40% packet loss.
Trouble shooting steps so far:
- tried two separate routers
- tried three separate computers, each directly cabled by ethernet (different cables) to the router
- tried different DNS
- switched to a purely IPv4 connection
- performed a staggered start of ONT and router
Things were all working normally up to 18.30-19.00 today or thereabouts.
Anyone else affected?
