I don't think you can connect directly to the ONT, at least not easily. Try with the ISP supplied router if you have one.

You can but as you said not easily, you need a nic with vlan tagging and windows has built in pppoe modem so you just need your login details and you should be good to go.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and confirming your Voyager connections are working as expected.

I isolated the problem to my EdgeRouter Lite. Direct connection to the router showed no sign of improvement. Connecting directly to the ONT worked fine.

I've restored my configuration backup and everything seems to be working properly again.

It used to be easy. I'm not sure what changed with Windows 10 1809, but for Intel cards you now need to install the Intel PowerShell components and add VLANs from the command line.

Yes ive used the realtek ethernet diagnostic utility to add tags, i dont have the best nic but it still worked
