Anyone know if the Chorus maintenance is going to fix loss of IPv6 issues on fibre?

I have recently moved to fibre 100/20 with Voyager/Chorus. My IPv4 is all ok.

I have a Chorus ONT version 2 and an HG659 with V100R001C297B011 firmware.

IPv6 was fine when I was on VDSL.

I have had no response from Voyager support (apart from an automated reply) this week on my loss of IPv6.

I see that Voyager Internet Status shows that Chorus is doing scheduled maintenance between 2 and 17 April.... No details given... is it just a wait and see...

I see that there were a lot of issues back in October 2018 with 2degrees and IPv6 going AWOL.

TIA

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

Voyager IPv6 is working for me (VDSL).

Doing a ping to the ever-so-helpful @VygrNetworkMonkey :)

The issues with IPv6 on fibre last year have been resolved. The issue was more widespread than initially reported, and version one ONTs also had issues.

If you've just switched to fibre and lost IPv6, it's most likely a configuration issue. I was also assigned an IPv6 address range in the wrong region. VygrNetworkMonkey should get you sorted.

I wasn't sure if Cliff was still dealing with IPv6 issues.... I have now sent him an email. Thanks.

Heya @Gordy7 - found the issue, and have emailed you back.

As an update for all, when Gordy7 upgraded from VDSL to UFB he changed terminating regions (AKL -> WGN) ... so the previously assigned range  wasn't able to route correctly.

We should have picked this up when upgrading/moving him to a new region - so thats on us.
A new delegation has been assigned to resolve the issue.

(As always, thanks for the ping @michaelmurfy!)

On that note, having just switched 2 properties over to Voyager UFB - at my place I'm just using the ONT which was already in the house when purchased. How do I tell which version it is? And how would I go about getting Chorus to upgrade mine to the latest hardware version?

Would this have anything to do with speed? I'm not all that impressed with speeds so far, and my place is about 6Mbps slower for linux updates with mint to the Canterbury University mirror from Auckland, compared to the other place with a brand new ONT from Chorus, which is connected to the same exchange nearby. (Tested both connections at peak times, and neither are over Wifi.)

@dc2daylight Sorry, what? You do know there is no difference between the ONT's in terms of speeds.

Start up a new thread. This is way off topic.

Ok sorry I will do... I do know now thanks to you, and my question is answered on that aspect at least.
