OK, so the press release came out like 20 mins ago.... but once it's been discussed, can someone from Voyager comment?

I'm on gig, with no contract (on purpose). 300/100 would be perfect - I'm only on gig cos you don't have 100/100 which I had at BP before :)

I'm guessing it'll be at least a few days, but might as well start a thread.... :)

You'll need to have patience with providers - there will be work to do in terms of testing etc before they can announce to the public. Basically it'll be ready when it is ready.

In the past Voyager / 2degrees have been incredibly quick to offer such changes to customers.

Heya @nic.wise,

We'll be looking to release some information on this at some point in the near future.

Once we have a release, I'll repost in there for everyone to see.

300/100 is a very interesting proposition, I do wonder though, pricewise, if there is a reasonable reason to have such a plan?

From Memory 100/100 vs 900/450 are $30 apart.

thanks! This was mostly a placeholder for when you do :)

Not unhappy with the 900/500 I have now. But the 300/100 would suite just as well - there are only 2 of us here (and a plex server :) )

Awesome hope it rolls in soon! Been on the 100/20 for the past 3 years and because of WFH again was tempted to upgrade to gig. Other half can't see why we should spend the extra $$ since there is only two of us...

$20 or $30 a month isn't a reasonable reason?  If that's chump change to you, I'm happy to give you my account details and you can deposit it in monthly. 🙂

Same. $30 difference I can afford, but there's no point when my sustained traffic is closer to 30Mbps, not 500 or 900.

I had 100/100 with BP until recently, which was fine - I only switched cos it looked like BP were basically mothballed (tho when I needed it, their helpdesk folks were good once I woke someone up). 20 up isn't enough with 2 of us working at home most of the time, but 100 is.

Presumably, the pricing for 300/100 is going to sit in the middle of the 100/100(20) and 900/500, so it's going to be half that difference. I don't have any trouble justifying the cost difference between 100 and 1000. I might if I felt that 100Mbit was enough.

I pay $84 for 900/500 through Orcon with a 1 Year Commitment.

300/100 IS 100/20. The throughput of the existing 100/20 product is being increased. It's not a new product between 100/20 and 900/500. People would generally expect the price to remain unchanged, as it did when 30/10 went to 50/10.

That wasn't clear initially, I thought it was a new offering. My apologies. I'd agree, for the majority of people, 300/100 should be well and truly enough.

Heya @nic.wise,

Yes, no ... kinda!

We have advised current customers who were impacted (ie: getting a speed increase), but we haven't devised any plan changes as yet, so nothing has been released to the general public as to the new plan, costs etc.

Voyager is assessing broadband product offerings across the board, and will hopefully have something to talk about around the March 2022 timeframe - which will include the 300M plan changes.

Until then, if you happened to order/change to a "100M" service in the mean time, you will get automatically boosted to 300M at no extra charge.

Thanks - thats largely what I wanted to know. I was on BigPipe 100/100, and moved to Voyager, but had to go gig, cos, well, 20meg up isn't enough.

But 300/100 is fine. I'll put in an order to switch. Thanks!
