I'm on voyager fibre max speed (1000/500) in Tauranga, using a fritzbox 7490.

Today at 4pm my internet connection 'reset', and after reconnecting, my internet speed is hovering between around 5/200 (down/up), ping is 50-60ms (up from 5ms). If I can get 200 up, why not 200 down at least? This is crippled.

Called voyager, they can't see anything wrong on their side, he asked me to do a factory reset on the router (I had a spare 7490, to check for hardware issue), swapped cables/computers and ran speedtest.net (laptop->cat6 cable->7490->cat6 cable ->ONT), got similar slow speeds. Restarting ONT no help either.

Thankfully, he logged a fault, but, what could do this?  This is really bad timing, lots of people in the house, lockdown, and internet barely usable at these speeds.   It is a bit annoying they don't have better diagnostic tools available, but it is UFF (or chorus in auck) who set the speeds between the house ONT and voyager?  He said he can't see the speed, only whether it is active.

Oh well, just wondering if I am the only one.
