nbroad:

I added my card to Apple Pay, which is an "Airpoints Standard Visa" to phone and watch.

All went fine, but I got a notification on my Apple Watch saying "your Kiwibank AirNZ Low Fee Visa has been added to your Apple Watch".

I thought that's weird, maybe I added the wrong card - double checked I had it right.

I then went to the local bakery to try it out, worked fine and came out of my "Airpoints Standard Visa", but the transaction history in Apple Wallet shows "Kiwibank AirNZ Low Fee Visa".

This appears to be just a cosmetic issue but maybe a card description mapping issue?  I do have another "Airpoints Low Fee Visa" for joint household expenses, but didn't add this to Apple Wallet.

If you remove and re-add your card it should be fixed now.

The reply on Kiwibank message was the same - remove and re-add card.

I did that yesterday and still the same.

Removed card again, closed apps, left it overnight then added again this morning - still the same - show's low fee when it's not.

Remember based on our previous experience this takes _ages_ to update. I remember it taking upwards of 2 months at times.

KiwiSurfer:

Does that mean Google/Android Pay is not that far off? Am surprised they didn't launch both as other banks have done.

According to the CEO it's soon. He says keep an eye on your app.

Finally Kiwibank joins the 'real' banks, in 2024!

Tell me the CEO of Kiwbank uses an iPhone without telling me he does :)

I managed to misplace my KB credit card a while back (not lost, as it’s definitely around the house) so hadn’t been able to use it - so it’s a bonus that I’ve now been able to add and can now use it via Google Pay even if I don’t have the physical card around. Only a few years after I started using my BNZ CC with GP, but better late than never!
