One of the lovely folk @ASBbank on twitter will be looking into this tomorrow and see why it's happened

I think I was a bit harsh on them and over reacted, I will go sit in the naughy corner

I can still adjust my credit card limit, interested to hear why you can't change yours though (so long as it's fit to be shared publicly).

could the offer of the increased limit have expired?

IE offered limit at day 1.
Not taken up by day x (31, 180, 365 etc)
Top Up limit removed.

From a credit risk perspective (notwithstanding the credit worthiness of you) this would make some sense to me.

What's the big idea with the whole making sense and everything?! This is the internet!

update and issue now resolved: SM on the @ASBbank twitter account is fantastic

New credit cards and upgraded credit cards all automatically have the pre approved limit removed for the first month following issue (reinstated after the first month). This is due to system constraints at our back end when a new card is issued and the old card is still active for a period of time to prevent two pre approved limits from being active simultaneously.

We will pick up the comms with our Contact Centre team so they are aware of this process ? it is not due to a review of your account, it is because of the new card being issued.

Our apologies for the mixup and I?ll come back to confirm to you today that the pre approved limit was removed for this reason and when you can expect it back.

If you need the extended credit limit in the meantime then please let us know?

Kind regards

Simone
