Etcman: I just wrote an Xposed module to trick the app into thinking my Nexus 4 is a Galaxy S6. So far I've managed to set up a card, just need to test it in stores now.

Let us know how you get on - seems like a nice hack

its a normal visa card, just instead of fly points or something, you get cashback once a year.  0.5-2% (I get 1%) of your yearly spend, so after the yearly fee I usually get about $250-300 for free.  I have a low limit and clear it every other week, so I never get charged interest and just get that money for free once a year, which works well for me.

Great; we broke goMoney!

"Sorry. A large number of customers are using ANZ goMoney right now and we cannot log you in."

Nice.

Just did my first purchase using a Note 4 at Velvet Burger. Worked like a treat.
First time I pulled away too quickly, second time I held it there and waited for the beep. I can finally leave my wallet in my bag when I pop to the local cafe. Love it.

I have yet to find a card that I would consider to be low rate, they are just a few percent off the standard offensive rate. So lose the mastercard and get a rewards visa instead.

think my master card was 11%, and visa is what 18ish.  so if you're going to put something big on it MC is better, or better yet, jump to a gem visa get 6 months interest free, then switch to a bank that will do 0% for a year with a balance transferred.  I did that for a 10k ducted heat pump install I had done last year, ended up pay $26 for the MC card fees and thats it, 1.5 years interest free basically :D

Have to watch doing the balance transfer thing tho, they will go all full credit report on you and that goes on your credit check file. Even adding a second ASB visa and dropping the limit of my first one by the same amount made them do a full credit check.

No S3 which from what I have seen around the place is still a hugely popular phone.

Good to see the one plus on the list tho.

Lambchop: when does tyhis actually update today ... i'm a anz customer and s6 owner so looking fwd to this .... although no mention of anything being active in the app currently ...

I got an email message from ANZ today telling me to get into it.

I'm a bit wary as EFT-POS is the cheapest platform for customers and merchants....whereas the paywave stuff operates via the creditcard service network....and that costs merchants (who pass it on) a lot more.

So that tiny list of devices are the only devices that get this feature at the moment? Weak.

As suspected:

"Hi, we'll be adding additional phones once we have fully tested and confirmed they work accurately with the app."

From their Twitter page. They're manually testing on physical devices for functionality before releasing to the masses.
