This site's a good run-down on the cards, reward schemes (including airpoints), and value. Basically Amex for the win for all but forex transactions.

The bonus for ANZ sounds good as find it hardest to meet status points from flights (thanks covid). Interestingly they don't give you points on purchase, which if you're doing with another card shouldn't be an issue. Kiwibank used to be good but is as bad as the rest now.

Koru is good but doesn't help when outside of AirNZ/Star Alliance lounge footprint (i.e. Australia domestic).

Opted for the AMEX platinum just before we went to Japan. Used it everywhere, even places that the Wise VISA debit didn't work.

Was going to shift Kiwibank platinum visa to no fee one, but its hassle switching and you do need a VISA\Mastercard backup.

Airpoints go to the Mrs card, then we have sharePoints and giftee etc.

Need to spend on both cards now each month to justify the fees

The little things make the biggest difference.

Eep will keep an eye out, nothing yet.

Lol confirming the guest charge comes through a few days later, has shown up now.

Hope it was worth it for you. As I felt it wasn't for me. This was at the SATS lounge in Singapore. It was too crowded at that time. Only plus was able to take a shower at the lounge.

Balanced out as wouldn’t of gone in myself, so alternative would’ve been two people grabbing a couple of drinks and snacks in the terminal for probably the same amount. Struggle to see value otherwise.
