I’ve currently got the ANZ Platinum Airpoints credit card.
I’m considering getting the AMEX Airpoints Platinum card.

Can I have two cards earning points to my Air NZ Airpoints account?

Do you know why it doesn’t work with Apple Pay in NZ?

Are you referring to AMEX and Apple Pay? Apparently, it works in AU based on this link Apple Pay participating banks and card issuers in Asia-Pacific - Apple Support (NZ) but not in NZ yet.

Yep, Apple Pay with Amex and yes, I did see that it’s available in Australia, hence the question

So this card gives you access to Priority Pass and two complimentary visits per year, I can see.
Is the Priority Pass the standard membership, which then will allow me to buy entrance to lounges at other times at USD35 per visit?
Not entirely clear on the website.

Appears to be, also have the Amex Airpoints platinum and used Priority Pass to enter the Rex lounge at Sydney domestic last week.

This is what I see in the app now (Entitlements left, and visits over entitlement are charges at 32 USD).

Excellent, thanks.

I reckon the combination of the Lounge Buddy app and this is perfect.
Lounge Buddy for most international airports (as cheaper), but then there are airports where Lounge Buddy doesn’t give access and I then can use Priority Pass.

I assume this only is for the main cardholder and an additional card holder won’t get access.

Unsure on additional card holder. When I used the pass I could bring in a guest, which didn’t consume an extra visit.

Oh wow, I’m surprised to hear that. I thought they would at least have to pay or they would be using an extra pass of yours.

Yeah surprised me to, was expecting to at best use it at worst pay for the +1. May not be the case everywhere.

Just to add - in addition to Priority Pass - the platinum Amex also gets you 2 complimentary entries to Amex's centurion lounges in Melb/Syd. Details here.

It was a nice little bonus when I was coming back from Syd earlier this year.

Hopefully you got lucky as not the case for me. Was a delay on charging for the extra guest at 32 USD.
