richms: I have yet to find a card that I would consider to be low rate, they are just a few percent off the standard offensive rate. So lose the mastercard and get a rewards visa instead.

From the FAQs:

Can I use goMoney Wallet on a 'rooted' Android device?
No. For security reasons we do not allow goMoney Wallet to be used on a rooted device.  This means if our systems detect your device is rooted you will not be able to set up goMoney Wallet. If you root your phone once you have already set up goMoney Wallet, goMoney Wallet will be disabled immediately.

Interesting, my phone is rooted but no problems setting it up on my spoofed Nexus 4.

I used the SuperSU app to Unroot my Nexus 5 and after a reboot, goMoney was showing up the new menu item.

Didn't lose any data or anything either :-)

KrazyKid:
Etcman: I just wrote an Xposed module to trick the app into thinking my Nexus 4 is a Galaxy S6. So far I've managed to set up a card, just need to test it in stores now.

Let us know how you get on - seems like a nice hack

Success! Bought ingredients for tonight's dinner at Countdown using my rooted Nexus 4. Changed it to Nexus 5 in the end cause I think the S6 failed to make a payment for whatever reason.

GoMoney says my N5  phone is rooted but it's not. Root Explorer says it's not. So I won't be getting the Wallet?

They mention in a reply to one of the reviews on the app store that version 4.7 was incorrectly detecting phones with Android 6 as having been rooted. They said the next version (5.0.7) should fix this. What version of the app are you running?

It worked on wife's HTC One M8 but didn't show up for me on the HTC One M9. Wife's not going to use though as she things there's no reason to use it - she only uses credit card online.

Never mind, I don't have an ANZ card anyway, so happy to keep using my Semble + BNZ combo.

Seems a bit silly that S5 G900I is on the list but not S5 G900F, they are the same except one is 700mhz LTE

They're playing it extra safe by hand testing each device and model. Caveat is cases like this where there is a 1 letter difference in the model name for an otherwise identical device. If you know how, you can spoof your model in your build.prop file to a supported device and it will most likely work.

I'm sure ANZ have great data on what handsets are used with their app to target their efforts appropriately.

Wel just got an update to Gomoney last night and now it's 5.0.7 and I got the offer to install Wallet which worked. Now to head to my local supermarket and try it out. I'll try the self checkout first so as not to block the checkout lines but if it works then I can use the regular checkout to amaze the checkout operator :-) I normally have my Fly Buys bar code stuck on the back of the case of my phone which I also use in lieu of the card itself so it will be an interesting shopping experience.

I am sure the checkout operators at supermarkets are used to Semble already.

I did get a "wow, what you've just done there" in Sydney a month ago when I used my phone to pay at a store in the QVB.
