I used the parking machine once there last year.
I just wonder if anyone who has also been targeted been to the same shop?
I have also used the parking machine at auckland airport once.
I thought parking machines are probably easy to target?

Surely the blame in this instance goes to thev maker of this type of ATM?

They've left a nice recess to allow the placement of a bogust keypad, which will sit flush and look 100% genuine.

My guess is the skimmers created the recess by overlaying the surround as well.  The keypad is probably a generic unit that works on multiple ATMs and having it separate makes for more discrete removal.

Did anyone else get a call today? I just got a call from ASB saying my MasterCard has been skimmed now at a 'Non-ASB Terminal'. This card is one with a chip. They said to go onto the online banking page and change my PIN.

I dont understand though, won't my details still be with the person who skimmed it?

I'm going to ring and ask about that to see if it needs replacing or something because that doesn't sound right at all. If they skimmed the card and know my pin, surely they would know my card number too?

The recess is in a hole in a cover that goes over it to make it more smash proof.

And by the bend in the original, it looks like they bashed it down a little just so the fake one sat flush.
