The one thing I skimped on when I got my laptop was the hard drive. I've been kicking myself ever since. PLEASE let me undo that mistake! :)

I'd probably install the ssd in my old man's computer for a bit of geek Cred. I'd use the portable usb to power my homemade led bike lighting system while charging my phone simultaneously. Nice

SSD for media server upgrade and powerbank for keeping the wife and kids from fighting over wall chargers which there never seems to be enough of.

SSD to upgrade my current Samsung Green 1TB - painfully slow.

Power bank to charge multiple gadgets - notes, tablet, phones

On a pension, so upgrading to a ssd on my laptop hasn't really been an option, only a desire, so the ssd would complete one desire for me.
If I was successful with the power bank, I would be able to dedicate the one I have or this one for our emergency grab bag to keep our phones/radios working if a disaster struck.

Hmmm, new kit......

The SSD would be used to replace the SLOOOOOOOOW sata drive in my sony notebook.  Its an i7, but the combination of windows 8 and an old sata drive makes it feel like windows for workgroups (remember that??).

The powerbank would be used to support my team and I in our Christchurch Civil Defence group, providing much needed power top-ups at our exercises (and hopefully never in a real event).

Wow, nice prizes. I'd be totally in for the battery pack, thanks! And what else for but Ingress. 2+ charge cycles a day is killing my poor phone :)

My neighbours PC needs a dust out.

If it survives, I might fit an SSD to speed up performance.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

I would upgrade my HDD in my recently upgraded computer with the SSD
And if I won the powerbank, this would get a lot of good Ingress use with 2 phones on a long city wide mission for unique portals.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 4x 2GB Adata 1066+ DDR2, Sapphire HD4850 X2 2GB GDDR3 PCI-E Quad DVI, 1000w PSU & over 4TB HDD space, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

You play with 2 phones!? No fair :) If you win the powerbank I'm going to have to fight you for it!

I'd likely use either.

SSD would be used for my son to replace a rather slow Hard drive.
Powerbank would be a communal family affair as we seem to have attracted all manner of tablets, phones and odds and sods...
