Hiya, at the back of a bank card, can one only use ATMs that have those logo's?  What happens if one uses an ATM without those logo - denied? 

I was just looking aomeone's overseas bank card (not credit card), it used to have plus but the new card doesn't and it has EPS and Union Pay which from a google searcch originates from Asia and they have places around the world that supports it (incl NZ). 

What about instore purchaes?  Works?
