There is something going wrong with ASB credit card repayments.

Paid of my monthly balance yesterday, but, it still hasn't been processed .

Phoned ASB, the CSR said he'd had a number of other calls from people with the same problem.

I hope it will be fixed today otherwise i may start getting charged interest.

Wondering if it's a visa issue. I have had a similar problem yesterday with a payment on our business visa (with bnz), but my personal mastercard (with ASB) has been fine.

Is the payment coming from the same bank as the card? If not, it can take up to two days (and it goes via a holding account first).

This has been going on for quite a few days. From what I hear a software upgrade did not launch correctlly. Our ASB online visa account was not showing at all and then when it came back all transactions have been going into pending. Usually been the next day when they move out of pending and show in total balance.

Just an 'internal' transfer from my ASB cheque to ASB visa.   In the past it has taken a few minutes to update the balance.

I'm interested to see if my payment is now treated as late -- i wouldn't imagine so but we'll see.

I'm seeing the same. Payments pending and balances not seeming to add up, although they seem to correct later on. Just spent ten minutes trying to figure out if my balances are correct, etc. Still not sure :)

It never updates immediately for me, it's always 1-2 days. The credit card functions have changed, weird things are happening - balance on the right hand side of the screen goes up and down when it's only debits on the left.

Major changes to their back-end Visa systems over the last 10 days. Almost certainly the cause of the issues you are seeing.

Just noticed mine have not been appearing either. Didn't look because it has always been moments before it reflected.

*sigh*

Response from ASB on Twitter:

"Hi there, could you try clearing the cache and having another go? We're not aware of any issues at this time. Thanks ^NA"

It doesn't matter what browser or machine I use to view it, it still says the same confusing and potentially concerning stuff...

Yeah exactly Asmodeus. Latest update after I stated the same:

"Payments made before 7pm are processed overnight. Payments made after that time will be processed the next day. ^NA"

Ok so I have been pointed to this in response (after a confusing exchange)

https://blog.asb.co.nz/changes-to-asb-credit-card-systems/

"Balances are updated instantly,it'll just take up to a day to process onto the statement. More info asb.co/1a0ANwj ^NA"

I'm still confused by what I see on my statement for both my CCs. I shall plug it all into a spreadsheet when I get home and check that my balance is what it should be

Looks to me like they are just not in "Date processed" order like they should be.

Interesting, I found the opposite this morning, I made a payment from my ASB Streamline to my ASB Visa and it wen't thru and showed straight away, usually I have to log out then in again for it to show on my balance.

I did notice that the system now shows pending transactions, something it never did before, this is good for me as I often wonder why my balance is lower than I thought!
