Hi
Im moving to oz in a few weeks

Whats to best way to transfer the money?

Do you save much by going through a foreign exchange company rather than a bank?
And if so how much? say per $10k ?

Yes I would shop around, especially if you're moving say 50K plus you can save a bit of money.  Even the banks have room to move with the rates if you are prepared to negotiate with them.
