Hello.

Just received an Email from Service@Paypal.com.au Saying that I have been charged $49AUD for the game Farmville, which has been charged + paid for.

Is this a new scam, or an old one?

I have never received an Email like this. I am guessing they want me to click on a click, which obviously im not going to do.

I do have Facebook, however I don't use it. Only registered for Facebook so I could get an app working on my phone. I have never played Farmville or even googled it.

I have registered for Paypal in the past, however I am 90% sure I didn't register on the address I got this Email on.

Would it be safe to check my Internet Banking (Kiwibank)? I didn't click on any links in the Email.

Thanks.

Go to www.paypal.com, log in, and check your records to see if the transaction actually happened.

Well that's interesting, maybe I didn't register for Paypal after all, must of just been Ebay I registered for.

None of the 3 Email addresses I put through the Paypal system are showing up as registered.

I haven't been charged then :)

Yes, facebook is a scam. Zynga annoys me with their advertising. Paypal is probably ok.

Yes, this is a scam. They are hoping you have kids and are gullible enough to think they have bought farmville crap and click the link.
