I just ordered a mobile from overseas. I didn't realise that you have to pay a fee to get this through customs, which I am happy to do.

However I have ordered many things from overseas and never knew about this and was never asked to pay extra to get my items through.

Does anyone know more about Duty Tax and customs clearance?

It's a rort.

 

 

 

We fund Customs via general taxation. Paying duty is fine. Paying twice for Customs to do their job is not fine.
