Prescription swimming goggles.

Always assumed they would be very expensive..... Nope $40.

All those waves that dumped me that I didn't see.

A cordless impact driver. Used a cordless drill with a screwdriver bit at home for years for driving in screws and thought it was OK.

Impact drivers are amazing, that is all.

It's the simple things.

A dedicated ice cream scoop. Years of bending handles trying to use a desert spoon.

Sounds like I need to get myself an impact driver. I reckon my cordless drill is used 95% for driving and 5% for drilling.

3 children born in the past 5 years, so I'll have to say... birth control (just joking!)

A 12V air compressor for inflating car tyres on my driveway (or anywhere for that matter). It seems every time you're in need of a top-up the service station compressor is either out of order or the hose has been driven over so may times you can't fit it on the valve without leaking air everywhere.

This pleases me.  Got my first one yesterday - never used one.

electric curtains that close at dusk are pretty sweet.  missing my roomba that I sold last year when moving.  going to buy a xioami robot vac to replace it once some more home renovations have been completed.

basically anything that does stuff for me so I can be lazy are my best investments.

House in Auckland. Now far too expensive to even consider.

PS. Many people see a house as an investment hence one reason their values have skyrocketed. But the house you live in should never be treated as an investment, hence why if a CGT is introduced, it wouldn't apply to the family home.

I have a Kitchenaid can opener that is the best I've ever had. Ditto for their potato peeler!
