I think I recall that there's an invite only forum here on GZ which deals with cryptocurrency discussion.
Perhaps someone active there can issue the OP an invite.

 

I'd only guess from a quick google showing me that there are more than a few "local" exchanges all claiming that they're honest, trustworthy, secure, and NZ's leading exchange, that some of the things I fear most about Bitcoin are probably true - hence very accurate advice is needed.
