Transferwise is the cheapes / quickest /easiest.
With a referral link you can do a free transfer up to around $1000.

There's some options in this thread, including one service I've personally used.
Handle9: Currencyfair is good as well. It just depends whether you are sending large amounts or smaller ones as they have different commision structures.
I've been using WorldRemit and it's been working for me fine. fees are usually $3.99

World Remit are also clipping the ticket on the exchange rate offered. For example to send AU$500 is NZ$527.32 with Transfer Wise, and NZ$534.35 with World Remit.
I think WorldRemit has a flat fee of NZD $3.99 whereas Transfer Wise has a 0.4% of the amount remitted + NZD $1.50.

World Remit's exchange rate (0.94164) is worse than Transfer Wise (0.95469, or 0.9508 after 0.4% is taken off) which is why in this example Transfer Wise is a cheaper option. YMMV.

As others have said, its not just the fee where they clip the ticket, taking a slice of the actual ex. rate offered is a well worn path that banks and money changers have engaged in since currencies existed....
