Just a heads up for anyone that hasn’t seen news. 

 

If going out a good idea to take alternative payment methods, as reports of cards declining as well.

 

Says ATM’s are still working but looks like BNZ ones only.

Or BNZ just had an unrelated meltdown - there are a large variety of potential causes.

My employer [a different large bank] has an absolute change freeze over the long weekend to prevent anything like this from occurring due to change; I'd be rather surprised if BNZ didn't also have a change freeze on.
