Scaling is understandable but that’s disappointing. Probably more trouble than they’re worth at that value. If you don’t have other shares, I’d sell them and keep your tax records etc simple and tidy.
Another approach is to keep them and learn at negligible cost how all this works.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Just thought I would give them a go , utilities normally do well . It would be interesting to see the allocation breakdown. Will keep them and keep an eye out for any future ones. Thought it was a laugh getting 6 shares :)

True. I bought shares in Genesis, Mercury and Meridian when they were partially privatised by the government in 2013-4. I still have them.
Over that period they have paid great dividends and have grown in value. In aggregate, dividends have been about 150% of the initial cost, the shares are now worth three times the initial cost and the annualised return (divs and value) has been 430% - which is around 12% pa.

Contact have a share purchase offer out to shareholders at the moment too. Looking to buy some to cover the dilution.
Also in this camp. Shares is not a huge investment for me so I applied for $30 Genesis and got scaled down to $1.97! Yay /s
I've emailed Sharesies to request a full refund but I'm not expecting that to go anywhere...
By my calculations this means they got 25 times more than the amount of funds they required???
Doing your best is much more important than being the best.
Although I think you need to be aware that the ""pool" for this float was tiny...
Its not $400 million , its only $50 million....
There is a $300 million offer at 1:7.9 for existing shareholders only which closes on 17 March,
This offer was for $100 million, and the Crown already said that it will take 1/2 (to keep its 51% holding), so the public offer was only for $50 million,
That there was over $1 billion chasing it, isn't really surprising given its a $2.15 offer price on a $2.38 share (last market price)
So there was a 10% stag straight away...
