First time actually organising and paying for trip to Australia in October.. and i've seen mentioned on several websites about VISAs. I (and all travellers with me) will have current passports.. do we need VISAs? its only a 2 week holiday.  Anyone help explain this to me ?

Visa or master card is accepted in AU and they take cash

But on a serious note with NZ passport no Visa required

Visa or Mastercard? I'm not talking about paying for the trip. I'm talking about entering the country!

You don't need visa if you have a New Zealand passport. For everything else you will have to check.

Non chip passport no issue for AU

But if you like I could sell you a half eaten bag of ETA chicken chips to bribe AU customs with they will go down a treat

No difference, providing it's a machine readable one.
