I was reasonably sure that ASB charge 0.12% of the overdraft limit as the monthly fee on overdrafts (min. $5 for arranged, $10 for unarranged).  Unless your overdraft limit is around $17k or higher (which it may be, I suppose) you shouldn't be paying $20.  Anyway, if you were the OP and you were with ASB you'd be charged $5 instead of $3.

Don't forget the extra savings you get with Kiwibank & having no transaction fee's on the Free Up account

You're probably right, I just dislike ASB with a passion (yet I have personal and business accounts with them, go figure) so any chance to moan and I'll grab it with both hands and run.

And yes, I'm waaay off topic with this... my bad.

I wish you'd all stop shouting about this - switching to Kiwibank wouldn't save them a cent.  Despite all Kiwibank's shouting about this, almost every bank has a free offering.  ASB has Streamline (if you ditch the statements).  Westpac has Elect (if you ditch the statements).  ANZ has Go (if you ditch the statements).  Personally  I reckon the stuff Kiwibank should be advertising more is features like "Paystream" and "Sweep" (now, that Sweep feature seems like it's pretty darn handy - and seems like it should be costly to maintain!)
