Hey all,

Just tried going onto PayPal.com, and noticed its not loading.
Checked twitter, apparently its that "Anonymous" group again, just like with the DDOS's on Visa.com & Mastercard.com.

Can you get onto PayPal?

I believe they are onto the API now.

Edit: I've been sitting on the Operation Payback IRC channel for past hour, quite interesting to see what's happening.

The guy from Paypal said the reason they cut off wikileaks was because the state department sent them a letter stating that what wikileaks was doing was illegal.

Is Ebay/Paypal so scared of the government now that they will act on a random letter from the state department rather than a proper court warrant?

They deserve it... especially considering they had heaps of Wikileaks money which they have basically stolen....

But then PayPal admitted such a letter never existed.

Also the State Dept has not been able to say exactly what laws Wikileaks was breaking - they don't even have a case against it yet.

As a private company, they don't have to have a reason to refuse to do business with someone (though if they do have one, it's not allowed to be "they're maori/chinese/pacific islander/african american" etc).

What PayPal did is not illegal.  However, what Anonymous is doing IS.

And last I heard, PayPal force refunds any money they freeze if they terminate an account like that.

So because i drive a car it would be reasonable for you to say this:

"Bro, the enviroment is screwed...thanks jbard"

No because that makes no sense i was unknowingly part of the problem.
