Actually, from what I've seen in the last few months, the Bitcoin market has been going down. The exchange rate went down drastically, and even a couple of websites that used to exchange bitcoints for prepaid Visa cards have no stock of cards to offer any more - probably waiting for better rates.

The rates have been going up the last week or two actually. My mate has 40 bitcoins left from when he was right into them and had a couple of rigs working on it. From what I see they're going up pretty quickly.

Oh heck no. Nothing like before. But that only ever happened because it was a new thing and was becoming popular and went through a bubble.

Then it effectively crashed and is now stable. Havent heard too much more about bitcoins, actually. Last I heard the US govt was going to wage war on it because of tax dodging or some garbage.

First impression of that site (no valid HTTPS cert) isn't good.

Second impression? There wasn't one, I left.

It is legit and trusted by NZ BTC users as far as Im aware. If it was really insecure the guys over at GP Forums wouldve pointed it out by now.
First talked about from this page: http://www.gpforums.co.nz/showthread.php?s=&threadid=422936&perpage=25&pagenumber=109
