at my old company it wasn't uncommon to have a beer or two on most nights haha, but at my current company no drinks really, we all just go our separate ways.

Depends on the country and culture.  My Australian and NZ offices tend to do Friday afternoon beer-o-clock of some kind, along with semi-regular pub lunches.  Other parts of Asia Pac are quite quiet, unless you can find a decent concentration of expats.  Canada will hit the pub around 5pm and usually make a night of it.  The US offices head out around 5pm for an evening.  Germany - well, beer at lunch..   Etc.
