I'll definately be there. I was reading about it this week as my boss has all of his beer (Bennett's) there, I didn't realise however that it was the same weekend as I hadn't ooked at the dates.

Luke (from Epic) is one of the main organisers of the whole BrewNZ event. MF should offer some advertising on here in return for some free tickets or free beer. The beer tasting events over the past few years have been extremely good events.

I think this is going to mean cancelling the Arizona burger and heading along on Friday night.

The ticket is $25 per person and from 5pm onward I think. We'll/should arrive in Wellington around 4:30pm, using ferry.

I'm guessing we will be having dinner on Saturday somewhere?

If that's the case then I'm guessing Friday would be the best option, it's open until 9 and based upon previous events 3 hours will be plenty. The other option is to head down @ 4 on Saturday for a few hours and then head out to dinner.

I don't think I can get any free tickets but will certainly be able to score free beer once I get in there! :-) You buy Beer$ from the "bank" and pricing is typically around $2 or so for a sample (1/2 a glass) and around $4 for a full glass. It's mainly all the small breweries such as Epic, Emersons etc which makes it a very good event. Ity would be great to see this event do really well as one didn't take place last year and it really is a fantastic opportunity for many of these smaller breweries to get their beer out there.

The website still doesn't have any new info but I was reading through it all today.

There are are around about 15 or so breweries there, mainly all smaller guys. Tokens cost $2.50 each and you get a free glass (300ml) when you enter. 1 token gets you a sample (half glass) 2 tokens gets you a full glass.

It's in the smaller part of the overseas terminal so won't be a big pissup style event but would be entertaining for a couple of hours. I'll just have to confirm but I believe I can get tickets for $20 if anybody's interested in saving $5 (just not sure if there is a limit to the number I can buy at this price).

Sorry can't get any $20 tickets. I would suggest we all just preorder them now.

Sounds like a plan.. 1 ticket for me.

Apparently they have already told quite a few tickets for Friday.. After that we could maybe head over to The Temperance for a look, this new bar (4 in 1 venue actually) is the biggest in NZ.
