Last year a handful of us went to Beervana. For those who haven't heard of this before it's a Beer show in Wellington that has a large number of smaller craft breweries as well as some of the larger ones (just no Lion Red we have class down here in Wellington)

www.beervana.co.nz

This year it's the 28th and 29th August.

I'm sure there will be a number of GZ members who will be in attendance again this year (including myself) so if you're going this could end up being a nice informal meet up over a few quiet beers! Smile

I would be keen, and I'm sure Eszter would be too. What did it cost last year for the plebs to get in?

Around $20 from memory and then $2.50 each for tokens. 1 token for 1/2 a beer but most stands were fairly generous!

Sounds good with this, when is it? I haven't been able to join any GZ's social functions this year... hard to find a spot amongst the work, mom and life... :-(

It's at the Town Hall this year also. Should be a bit less cramped.

Should we mention you'll be home by 9:45 and asleep in your PJs by 10?

*wishes for a Christchurch equivalent*

There's some damn fine Kiwi beers when ya look past the mass-produced garbage we see in so many moronic TV commercials.

Bump (because I can)

If you're interested in attending Beervana (and it is a fantastic event!) it'd pay to get in now and grab tickets, I know they're selling fast, particulary for the Friday and Saturday night sessions.

I plan to be there on the Saturday evening session if anybody wants to catch up over a beer or two.
