OK guys, got it (TPlink AX50) working. There is a new firmware update and now IPV6 works. I am using DHCP, haven't bothered to confirm it works on PPPoE.

Any chance you could post a screenshot of the IPv6 configuration settings?

TIA..

Hmm... It has stopped working. Everything looks ok in the router (IP not starting with FE80), but check my IP sites no longer detect an IPV6 address. It worked for all of 20 minutes. I will sort it and let you know!!!

I decided to change my connection type with Quic to DHCP, having read up a bit about DHCP vs PPPOE.

I raised a 'problem report' with Quic to identify what order to do the change.  There is provision to declare your connection type on the Quic portal as DHCP so I posed the question to Quic should I do this first then change my router settings.  The answer was to change the router settings and if the router does NOT reconnect, to get into the Quic account portal and set the connection type to DHCP.  The router did not connect after the change.  I changed the Quic setting (using a hotspot from my phone), and the router reconnected.

I also enabled IPV6 in the router and this now works - I have a public IPV6 address according to test-IPV6.com.

It is also interesting to observe that for the first time over a long period I was able to watch the All Blacks game with no problems on Sunday morning.  Usually the Sky Sport Now app on my Samsung TV freezes 2-3 times during the game.  Also tried watching the Ashes cricket and could do so with no problems for several hours at a time.

Well done, glad to hear that you managed to get it working. It was certainly a struggle when I used to have the router setup on a 2degrees connection :)
