Something still iffy.
.I use elite cloud which is a home alarm system app that's hosted on aws by arrow head alarms.
Won't work on my quic connection.
I'm in 40.x.x
Used to be in 5.x
Tried another router. Same thing. Grrr.
I had an issue where my router kept swapping between two IPs on the 103.193.... and the 40... subnets, and I got various complaints from the family about things not working over that time, probably related to the 40.. IP. Disney+ may have been one of them.
Hopefully someone at quic sees this and they can offer some insight and a resolution.
The teething pains are getting a bit long in the tooth. Pun intended.
@theviper well this one to be perfectly honest is nothing to really do with them. GeoIP is fully dependant on the platform you’re accessing and Quic also support RFC9092 and I believe they’re one of the only providers who offer this - if you’ve got a static IP then you can go over to https://geolocatemuch.com/ that’ll tell your geolocation down to your city via a geolist they offer.
I’m on the 45.80 range also and seriously don’t have an issue. On Geekzone, you’re from New Zealand according to the database it uses.
I did find https://thebrotherswisp.com/index.php/geo-and-vpn/ though and will send Disney an email myself with the subnet you’re both on later on today. This may be the case of if you don’t have a Static IP you’re not on their geofeed and perhaps Disney+ uses the geofeed which is why I don’t have a problem but you do.

Where I'm getting to is on another ISP it works (tested spark, orcon, one NZ) but on Quic it doesn't. What are those ISPs doing so they don't fall foul of this issue that Quic aren't or can't due to the new network. Whilst it's not a quic issue it manifests only when I'm on their network.
The internet should just work without having to bother Quic for a static and devoting time.
I greatly appreciate the community help here and detailed responses, but the money I save via quic is not worth having my wife and kids not being able to access things intermittently. I'm infinitely more patient and understanding than they are 🤣🤣
Its been a fun journey but I think for now it's time to change. Quic is the only ISP that's offered me a thank you gift for a referral which is outstanding but I'm Going to switch out for a while and come back once it's settled to a service I'm sure will be world class without interaction/support.
@theviper As I said, this isn't actually an issue with Quic, it's an issue with these sites and their GeoIP databases. It's actually a very common problem that all providers encounter and updating GeoIP is actually quite difficult as there are a number of providers and Quic do it right with having RFC9092 in place but what falls short is companies simply not updating their databases frequently.
But anyone can also flick a quick email off to sites that may have incorrect GeoIP details and request them to update them. I've done it in the past even with 2degrees and just done it now with these subnet ranges with Disney+ and a few other GeoIP providers.
I've been on this range for 6 months now without much issues and Disney+ for me personally works fine as I've said.

@jamesrt found this: https://support.eventfinda.co.nz/hc/en-gb/articles/4932664902799-Why-do-I-get-blocked-by-a-403-error
Have sent them an email as this is one I can't access either.
Edit: Submitted a ticket for Reddit also as it had the link on their block page. Interestingly, that only happened in a private browser window for me. It appears these IP ranges may have come from a VPS provider historically. Problem with IP addresses running out!
