Ok, changing it to DHCP broke the internet, perhaps I am not doing it right. 

 

There are no VLAN setups and onboarding email had untagged vlan with pfsense asking for a minimum 1 value. 

 

I might need to change this too?

You won't need to set a VLAN or anything. I'm not too familiar with PFSense but looking up it appears your WAN port is still set to your PPPoE port.

 

Does your router get an IP on the WAN interface?

I think the interface was still set to ppoe
I will give it a go again during off peak when no one is working from home.
