I have been having routing issues where some websites do not load irrespective of what DNS I use, either it be Quic or Cloudflare or Google.

https://members.z1.bet365.com/

As an example where my old man uses it and does not appear to be loading, but when I try this on 4G (Spark) or another home wifi, it works.

can anyone replicate?

I am using pfsense firewall, but no special configuration towards firewall blocks etc.

I have tested it with Secure DNS off and on etc. Just that specific site that does not load fully or partially only

Just the bet365.com is what I am observing for now.

It redirects to https://www.z1.bet365.com/ and just spins the wheel, i have tried testing the same laptop with 4g hotspot and it immediately loads. It also works on other ISP's.

I am sure not many use this website, but I have a use case, and would like to understand if anyone else have similar problem, it appears to be a problem in some cases when you click login and or register screen. None of the games or live casino https://casino.z1.bet365.com/ URL's load from a point.

Just given this a test on mine.

Seems to load properly for me (in Japanese, is that intentional?)

I tried with and without IPv6, it seems to be hosted behind Cloudflare.

What happens if you do a traceroute to members.z1.bet365.com? Here's mine:

Tracing route to members.z1.bet365.com [5.226.179.139]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

Just did traceroute on mine and it's exactly the same.

If it opens, click on register or Help forgot password or login and you get blank screens.

Or the bet365.com itself redirects to https://www.z1.bet365.com/#/HO/ which spins wheels.

This is only on my Broadband as I explained and not on 4G or other ISP's.

C:\Users\Lounge-PC>tracert members.z1.bet365.com

Tracing route to members.z1.bet365.com [5.226.179.139]

over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1    <1 ms    <1 ms    <1 ms  192.168.1.1

  2     3 ms     3 ms     3 ms  bng1-akl1.vetta.net [103.243.102.32]

Trace complete.

Sounds like a MTU issue to a domain that site uses to load elements from. Loads for me though.

Check your MTU is 1500

Give it a test with DHCP. Just note once you try DHCP if you want to switch back you’ll need to wait for the DHCP lease to expire before switching back to PPPoE (I up to 22mins).

I have a static IP does it matter?
Also a few mining stuff that I don't want to break :)

Told my old man to give it a go in few days or use 4g.

Static IP etc will move across. Nothing changes. But DHCP / IPoE is better than PPPoE for PFSense.

I got the following reply from Bet365, which concludes they have been blocking my IP and there is nothing wrong with mine.

I don't have a VPN or anything random on my end to consider me as a Managed connection, have emailed them back.

But I will certainly try tomorrow to change it to DHCP instead of PPoE

We are contacting you with regards to the issue you reported greyed out screen when accessing casino.

Following the investigation of the IP you provided we have found that the connection that you are using has been identified as a Managed Connection.

bet365 operate a policy whereby if we identify a connection as a VPN or Managed Connection we reserve the right to refuse that connection.

As such, to access the site you would need to use an alternative connection or disable any VPN services.

Hi,

Is this where I should change to DHCP?

When I change it to DHCP from PPPoE - it removes the dialing username / password from the PPPoE config.

Do you think there will be an interruption to internet service? if so, I can do it on the weekend as it will interrupt few things at home.

Yep that's correct. There will be a very short interruption to your internet service.

No username / password is required with DHCP. Perhaps @ssamjh can comment further with PFSense / OPNSense setup.

Just keep in mind, assuming you have a Static IP, changing to DHCP is unlikely to resolve the issue, as they’ve confirmed they have blocked your IP.

Solution will be having them unblock your IP.
