@myfullflavour Not 100% sure but they're doing tuning over the next few days - this is a brand new network with new transit etc so likely one of their engineers is doing something. They're also likely to notice things as this is basically a load test of a brand new network (no doubt you've experienced that one before!).

I can confirm what CYaBro says regarding latency. Seems like it's doubled or higher on many websites or similar according to my smokeping.

@Sinuation Ah, this looks like one announcing itself in 2 different places. They're tuning this currently.

Also interestingly - portal.azure.com is 36ms away on IPv6 yet 156ms away on IPv4. I'll let them know :)

They know about the random little packet loss and this should be fixed tonight also. It isn't my place to give the reason for it, but new network so they're tuning things still.

Thanks for the heads up Murfy.

No worries, I understand. Some things to iron out after the major network shift.

It's been noticeably better than with less packet loss though. Feels more stable too. I appreciate the major undertaking the Quic team went through.

And upload speed is tanked again after last night’s maintenance.
Around 200 is the max I can get.
Download is fine at around 900.
Latency still at least double what it was before.

Yeah, I'm seeing the same here esp with all the Microsoft Portals

Looking good here - obviously I'm on a lower throughput plan, but no issues with performance, latency, or packet loss.

Hey crew - great to see all the positive feedback on the new network, we're definitely taking note!

I'll do a proper post up with where we're at and what's left in the next few days, but for now as mentioned in this thread, this is a brand new network - with new peering and transit.

With that said, we are still working with some content providers and other networks on standing up peering sessions to reduce latency to some destinations.

You should all be seeing primarily in the packet loss space currently, but you can expect latency to fall back into previous realms as we continue working on bringing up the rest of the peering sessions with other networks.

Again, will post a more thorough write-up soon - but as always, thanks for all your support, we're thrilled to have you on this journey with us which is now starting to show its improvements as intended.
