Anyone have any odd connectivity issues last night around 8.30/8.45pm ?

I was hosting an online game, and people were dropping out at random, and eventually my game dropped and refused to let me reconnect.

Around same time, my daughter was trying to log into Fortnite and was having issues......

Yeah, looks like there was some oddities last night:

However I didn't notice anything actually failing to connect.

Fortnite released an update last night. The load this puts on (everyone's) network is insane.

In the US they roll it out while everyone's fast asleep. That just happens to be peak time here in NZ, so a network already operating at 60-70% of its designed capacity can suddenly find itself closer to 90-100% of its capacity.

Yep, was in a call with some friends and I disconnected sporadically around that time period.

But is it completed though? I am still getting failures on my uptime check for both HTTP and ping probes.

Ping probe to AKL device on a different network:

After their maintenance last night, I've been having issues.

Latency to everything increased, specially google services. Can't even start a google meet meeting :(

Have tried restarting my router already.

Very much the same picture on my side as well re latency.

(the extreme spikes over night were when the connection was fully down and LTE failover kicked in - but the general gist of a high latency is clearly visible).

Posted this in the other thread - package loss doesn't seem to have improved for me based on some quick and dirty anecdotal testing from a shell for 15-ish minutes.

I ping a Valve Sydney server and 1.1.1.1 using IPv4 and IPv6. My packet loss has not improved, and latency to Sydney and 1.1.1.1 IPv4 has roughly doubled. Interestingly 1.1.1.1 IPv6 latency has not increased.

They're still working. I've asked them to update the status page but they're pretty busy (understandably).

Rolling forward with the changeover to the new network, not rolling back to the old network. It is a little bumpy currently as they do this.

This means some routes may be less than optimal, some stuff may not work etc.

Unofficial update from me and not somebody at Vetta/Quic but take it as you will :)

Weirdly Google Meet is one of the only things still working.

Lots of support to y'all, but please get the status page updated
