We were shopping for a TV and as we live rural online is the go.  We looked at a number of models and sites ending up at JB Hi-Fi.  I ordered and used my credit card, a day later I received an email informing me they needed address confirmation in the form on a bill or similar.  I thought was great security but ended up a pain as council changed our road numbering to fire numbers... one thing I had with my address was a bank statement showing our investment account but they wanted a full page scan and I was unwilling to send too much financial info to them, back to the start second thing I had still has old numbering..   bugger.  Cancelled order - back tot he start.

Called Wellington branch but the model we wanted was not in stock - ok no special trip required.

Ordered with my wife's details as we have a power bill with her name and our new numbering, all good I thought.  Bugger I had only sent the image with 3/4 of the page, I had not included the bottom empty space.  Send again with full page.  Wait, Wait, Wait - email to ask if what I sent was enough... "No we did not receive anything further"  forwarded original messages with images and Wait, Wait, Wait  - email to ask if what I sent was enough and no response, today I sent to them "Feels like the piss is being taken - please escalate to someone who gives a toss about service"

Am I alone in the lack of service?  This second attempt has taken 8 days and the first was I think was around 5.

We may have to arrange a trip into town and see what is available in person :)  Apologies for the rant!

W

Go into town and buy in person...
They probably don't want to pay the freight cost.

Quick update - after my last "polite" email my wife had a call saying that the issue is their systems being run out of Oz but they will dispatch our order today :) Price was right but even then I would have expected a little more customer service.

Thanks for the feedback provided

cheers

Yeah, would never ever buy anything large ticket from them Online.

After getting dicked around with CDs - delays, no updates, no response to emails.

My local store (Westgate) were SUPER helpful on the phone putting stuff aside and helping with pick up. Plus if anything goes wrong it's easier to return.
